Stuart Group Ltd, the UK's largest distributor for the world's biggest diesel generator manufacturer, FG Wilson (Engineering) Ltd, is recruiting for an experienced Generator Sales Engineer to join our Power Sales Division team to assist in the day to day running of our busy Generator Sales Department at our head office in Attleborough, Norfolk. We offer a service of design and installation of new generators ranging from 10-2500kVA.

Reporting directly to the Power Sales Division Manager you will assist the Power Sales Division team in all aspects of the day to day work of the generator sales department to help maintain, develop and deliver our generator projects within budget and on time. The role is primarily office based; however, some travel is required to attend meetings and visit sites for which a vehicle will be provided.

We are looking for applicants ideally from an engineering (electrical/mechanical) background with knowledge of diesel generators. You will possess excellent computer skills (Autocad would be an advantage), a good telephone manner, excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. You must also be a team player with the ability to interact with others on all levels and use own initiative.

Duties will include dealing with generator enquiries, taking sales calls, maintaining relationships with our existing customers and potential new customers, extracting and using data, producing spreadsheets, preparing proposals/ tenders for enquiries received, generator sizing, preparing quotations (using in-house computer programme), reading and understanding technical specifications and drawings, programming project installation requirements and associated cost implications to suit clients’ needs, processing paperwork, keeping accurate records (attention to detail essential), liaison with other power sales team members, engineers, installation team, customers and suppliers and any other duties commensurate with the position as required by Stuart Group Ltd.

Generator Installation Co-Ordinator - Attleborough, Norfolk

We offer a bespoke service of design and installation of new generators ranging from 10-2500kVA.

Reporting directly to the Power Sales Division Manager you will work closely with the generator sales team and engineering staff and have responsibility to co-ordinate all our generator installation projects for the department, from receiving order to delivery to handover, to ensure our generator projects are within budget and on time. The role is primarily office based; however, some travel is required to attend meetings, visit project sites and oversee installation work for which a vehicle will be provided.

We are looking for applicants ideally from an engineering (electrical/mechanical) background with a sound knowledge of diesel generators (10kVA to 2500kVA), control systems and fuel systems. You must have the ability to read and understand technical specifications and drawings, be conversant with wiring diagrams, and have basic computer skills, excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. You must also be a team player with the ability to interact with others on all levels and use own initiative.

Duties will include arranging and co-ordinating generator installation projects, procurement of materials from regular suppliers, liaison with clients, engineers and other team members, maintaining and building relationships with customers and suppliers, programming project installation requirements and commercial commitments ,controlling a team of engineers during installation work, processing paperwork, keeping accurate records (attention to detail essential), and any other duties commensurate with the position as required by Stuart Group Ltd.

Service Engineer - Northampton

We require a skilled/semi-skilled Service Engineer at our Hannington Depot to carry out service, maintenance and repairs to our rental fleet of diesel powered generators. Applicants must have a good knowledge of diesel engines with the ability to diagnose faults.

HGV2 + Electrical experience would be an advantage although is not essential. The position is mainly workshop based; however, travel may be required throughout the UK when necessary for service and maintenance calls and on-call rota for emergency breakdowns. We are recruiting for an Administrator to join our Generator Power Sales Division team and assist in the day to day administration work of our busy Generator Sales Department at our head office in Attleborough, Norfolk. You must have good computer keyboard skills, a good telephone manner, excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to work to deadlines. You must be a team player but also able to use own initiative.

Duties will include taking telephone sales calls, dealing with sales enquiries, placing orders, arranging materials from suppliers, preparing quotes, processing paperwork, keeping accurate records, assisting with spare parts sales, helping pack spares (some manual work involved), liaison with warehouse, customers and suppliers, and any other duties commensurate with the position as required by Stuart Group Ltd.

Geotechnical Engineer/Hydrogeologist - Attleborough, Norfolk

Stuart Well Services is a specialist contractor in designing and installation of groundwater systems for the civil engineering industry. A background in site investigation together with an understanding of hydrogeology is required.

The position is office based - you would be working with a team of 5 and reporting directly to the Contracts Manager. Site time may be required occasionally. Duties include producing and submitting quotes for tenders, (this will involve study of geotechnical reports, site records, borehole logs and construction plans) writing reports, designing systems, managing site operations throughout all stages of contract, liaising with clients, engineers and landowners, producing invoices/application for payments.

Knowledge of ICT packages including CAD, project management and data logging systems would be an advantage.
